Frequently asked Questions
How do I activate the card before using it for the first time?
The card does not need to be specially activated. The card will be activated automatically at the first payment, which must be made by contact (the card must be inserted into the payment terminal). As part of this first payment, you will also set and choose your PIN. PIN must be four digits! If the card came to you by mail to a private address, you need to confirm its receipt in your Sodexo personal account before using it. Without this step, it is not possible to pay by card.
How does card payment work?
The card payment itself takes place in the same way as with ordinary payment cards. If you have separate Gastro Pass CARD and Flexi Pass CARD cards, you can pay by contact (the card must be inserted into the terminal) or contactless, just like with your bank card. If you have both cards on the Multi Pass CARD, you can pay by contact or contactless in the catering area (restaurants, etc.). Payments in the area of free time (pharmacy, fitness, etc.) can only be made by contact, i.e. by inserting the card into the terminal. When paying for the first time with a new card or a card for which the PIN has been canceled, you must always pay by contact. During this payment, you will set the chosen (new) PIN.
What is payment through a payment gateway?
In selected e-shops, it is possible to pay directly with Gastro Pass CARD and Flexi Pass CARD (respectively Multi Pass CARD). When ordering, just choose "Sodexo Benefits" as the payment method and then enter the login name in the Personal account.
In the Personal Account, the payment is confirmed and the goods or services are paid for immediately. You can find the current list of payment gateways in the "Where to shop" section of your Sodexo Personal Account. When setting the "Payment Gateway" filter.
What if I forget my card PIN?
If you forget your PIN, reset the PIN code in the Sodexo Personal Account or in the Sodexo Account mobile application and then set a new PIN code at the payment terminal during the next payment (via a contact transaction). In case of changing the PIN code, you proceed in exactly the same way.
You choose the four-digit PIN code yourself during the first contact payment, you set it for each card separately. It is up to you whether you choose the same or different PIN for both cards.
It is not possible to find out the original PIN code for security reasons.
What are the limits for Sodexo card payments?
With the Sodexo card, you can pay in the area of catering with essentially no restrictions. Only for technical reasons, the maximum possible daily spending is set in the total amount of CZK 20,000.
There is no set limit for leisure benefits. It is therefore possible to pay up to the account balance. The only limitation concerns payments for travel and recreation, where due to respect for applicable legislation, an annual cumulative limit of CZK 20,000 is set for one employer.
When do I have to spend my digital leisure benefits before they expire? How do I find out when they expire?
As with the paper version, even in the case of leisure benefits in digital form, their validity is fixed. However, the date by which the points must be used up may vary. You can find information about the end of the validity of your leisure credit in the details of your Sodexo Personal account in the details of the given card. After logging in to the sitesodexo-ucet.czand clicking through to the overview of the Free time account (via the Free time option in the Accounts menu at the top of the page or by clicking through the Free time balance on the main page), then the INFO menu. Here is the expiration date, including the amount that needs to be spent by that date.
You can also find the balance of your benefit account in the Sodexo Personal Account mobile application.
During card transactions, the oldest funds on the account are automatically drawn.
